Wired Networks
There are advantages and real cost savings in networking your equipment. As soon as you have more than one PC in your business, you will find the need to share files and resources, such as printers, the internet, etc.
A wired network is best for an environment where there are desktop machines. As they aren't moved regularly, network cables can be run to them in a tidy manner. The advantage of wired as opposed to wireless comes down to two main points:
1. Faster speeds - wired networks are at least twice as fast as wireless, and
2. Improved performance due to lack of signal interference.
"IAS were very accomodating - they installed our network over a weekend so that it would not cause any disruption during our working week."

Why have a network? It's not essential, but you will find it far more efficient and of very little cost. You do not need an expensive server, at least not for a small workgroup. We would be happy to advise you free of charge of the equipment you would need and a cost estimate. You can also combine wireless with wired if you have laptops, etc.
